Welcome to the Honda Chaly Owners Club. Here you will find plenty of information about these wonderful motorbikes including a friendly forum where you can talk to other owners, part diagrams and an extensive gallery.
The Honda Chaly motorcycle comes in two variants, the CF50 and CF70 each with different sized engines. Launched in 1972 the bikes were built for the moped and commuter markets and became highly popular worldwide.
The CF50 Chaly features a 3.5bhp engine with an overhead camshaft that gives reasonable performance. Later in 1972 along came the CF70 which had a slightly larger 72cc engine producing 5.5bhp @ 9000 rpm. With its low weight of only 70kg the Honda Chaly has good performance and is highly economical.
Unlike a lot of small motorcycles at the time, the Honda Chaly benefited from a number of unique design features such as a helmet lock, rear luggage rack and indicators.
Nowadays, Honda Chaly’s have become extremely popular amongst Honda mini bike fans and are often restored to original condition. A large number of Chaly’s around the world have been modified or ‘pimped’ up and use many Japanese tuning parts to produce more power.
